When can you start your puppy on raw food?

When can you start your puppy on raw food?

One of the most common question I get is ‘When can you start your puppy on raw food?’

Please welcome Ruben (1) a Rhodesian Ridgeback from Australia that started raw 4 weeks old.
Feeding prey model raw. Weaned from mums milk to raw Barf by breeder then when we got him at 8 weeks feeding all meats frozen-prey model. He has a severe overbite but does not affect him eating. Great health, no allergies, flees, dermatitis or any other problems. Currently he’s 8 months old and only ever visited vet for his jaw / dental problems.

My comment: I see more and more pet owners and breeders weaning their pets to a raw food diet. I believe this is the best start a puppy can get in their life. My study shows that this will add years to their lives and reduce the risk of cancer dramatically. I have at least 100 dogs that have been weaned to raw and I’m very interested to follow them for their rest of their lives. So when someone ask you: When can you start your puppy on raw food? You tell them as soon as possible, but I want to emphasize that it is never too late to switch your dog to a raw food diet.
